Since 2020, EMPOWERR has worked to support youth through fundraising, partnerships, and hands‑on service. We are now taking the next step by registering as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and this 5K marks a major milestone in that journey. Your participation directly fuels our mission. Rooted, a newly formed group, is focused on addressing community challenges through app development. Proceeds from this event will help turn their tech solutions into reality. By signing up, you are not just joining a race. You are helping drive youth‑led change. Bring a friend, bring your energy, and make it count.

To keep the 5K fair and safe for everyone, all participants must be registered, regardless of age. Children under 7 can participate for free, but must still have a completed registration form and signed waiver by a parent or guardian.
Age for free entry is based on the participant’s date of birth on race day. At bib pickup, event staff may request proof of age (such as a school ID, birth certificate copy, or other document) for children registered under this category.
Any misrepresentation of age will result in disqualification without refund. These steps ensure that our free youth entries go to the intended participants and help us cover costs for the event.
Choose your preferred registration method — either fill out our Google Form or use our Website registration. Completing just one is enough; we’ll handle the rest on our end.
Provide your details and select your ticket type. Make sure your contact info is accurate so we can send your confirmation and event updates.
Complete your payment securely through GoFundMe or in person if you’re choosing the Cash Day-Of option.
Once we verify your payment, we’ll follow up with a confirmation email, event details, and any important updates before race day.

Nope! The Empowerr/Rooted 5K is a run/walk event, so you can go at your own pace. Walking, jogging, or running are all welcome.
No, but you can pay the day of with cash. We recommend registering early to secure your spot and discounted rate.
Absolutely! All ages and abilities are welcome.
The event will take place rain or shine. In case of severe weather, we will post updates on our website and social media.
All proceeds support EMPOWERR’s filing 501C3 application fees, administrative fees, and future community service projects. It will also help fund Rooted’s community-focused tech application.
